OLTL 5/21/10

Ok, so no one I know watches OLTL, so it is you, my world audience who gets to hear my thoughts on it.
Today's episode revealed that Brody and Nat gave in to their despair and comforted each other. Yeah, they had sex. Because that's what normal people do when they've been "dumped", go sleep with your sister's sort-of-boyfriend/your sort-of-girlfriend's sister. So its a soap, yeah, we needed this drama. Note the sarcasm. So, typical of a soap opera, Nat didn't get lucky enough to have a baby with Jared before he died, but THIS one night stand will surely get her pregnant. She'll also reunite with John, and of course, will not know the baby daddy is. Note to OLTL writers-Seriously, the mitch/amnesia/cristian crap wasn't enough to create heartache for Brody & Jess? You HAD to have him sleep with her sister? This is the thing that disgusts me about soaps (and yes, I know, you don't have to keep watching them...IDK like a car crash I guess). They can't just let ANY happy couple be happy. They've screwed with everyone and I don't think anyone has had more than a year's worth of happiness before they get thrown to the wolves.
Jess remembered!! And because of Ford? Um, a stretch I think, but at least that douche is good for something. And he totally deserved to have her spazz out right there. Did you see his face!? Priceless. Almost the payback he needed for screwing Markko over. Almost. I'd still like to see him die a horrible death. Do we need another serial killer yet? How long has it been since Powell? LOL!
Oh and don't get me started on John running after Nat. Ugh, am I the only one who's totally annoyed by her? I couldn't stand her with Jared either, but whatever, he's dead now. I like John. I liked him with Marty. I liked him with Blair. I could even like him with someone like Kelly, but geez, Nat? And, Again? I am so thankful I wasn't a viewer during the time frame that they were together the first time!
Cris proposed to Layla. Ok, I'm trying to like this pairing. But...I honestly still can't get over Sarah. They were so great together. I mean, again, another amazing pairing screwed up by the 'uh oh, they're happy, we can't have that' year mark. But idk, they just don't seem to have that much chemistry. Though I'm proud he didn't fall for Jess's tricks.
Thankful for the absence of Langston today. I used to really like her, and I just can't see what she ever saw in Ford. No offense to the actor but IMO he's just not that hot. And, Hello, he's totally a player-douche! You can see that a mile away!! Ok, so I've dealt with players in my lifetime, and honestly they're not always the scum of the earth, they just prey on idiots for the most part. But boy are they a kick when they meet a smart girl. You wanna be involved with a guy like that? More power to you as long as you know what you're getting into. Ok, so Lang's a naive little girl who truly did get played. But you can play a player and win if you know the game. Life experience? Eh, I've got a few friends who've taught me from their mistakes.
No Todd/Starr/Cole. Am I the only one who agrees with Starr that psycho Hannah pushed Marty down the stairs? And, IDK if I'd qualify that as a push anyway, it just looked like they grabbed her arm to, idk, say hi or something and she was startled and fell. Then crazy girl gets scared and runs, and Marty assumes the worst.
Oh, and I love having Kelly back, but this foreign guy? Blah. Unless of course he's her mom's killer. Maybe watching soaps for this long of my life has made me too suspicious but we will just have to wait and see :)
